Join a docent-led tour of the entire Boyd Gate House, and learn the history of the house and the Cook and Boyd families, and hear all of the secrets! The tour starts on the steps of the Boyd Gate House and finishes in the previously inaccessible, locked-in-time upstairs water closet with its chain-pull toilet. Learn the stories about the 1879 construction and 1905 dedication to the City of San Rafael of this iconic house. Learn about the occupants of the house, both corporeal and paranormal. House tours are offered on the fourth Saturday of every month. Tours begin at 1:00 pm at the top of the steps of The Boyd Gate House at 1125 B Street. |
