Bring Marin's History To Life!

A museum should be more than a place you visit — it should be part of everyday life. That’s why the Marin History Museum is reimagining what a museum can be. Starting in January 2026, our exhibits and programs will travel to neighborhoods, libraries, schools, and public spaces across Marin — sharing history where people live, learn, and gather.

For 90 years, we’ve preserved Marin’s stories through the county’s largest collection — 20,000+ artifacts and 200,000+ photographs that capture who we are and how we came to be. With your support, these treasures are preserved and shared for generations to come
