Located at The Boyd Gate House, the Museum’s library and archives contain thousands of books, published and unpublished manuscripts, reports, ephemera, newspapers and clippings, biographical files, yearbooks, telephone directories, and maps related to the cultural and historical experiences of the people of Marin County. We also have a collection of books on California history. 

Our entire collection is searchable using the Online Catalog

Materials may be only be used within the facility during Library hours. Appointments can be made in advance for visiting outside of Library hours.

Scanned Historic Publications - The Research Library has scanned and made available online several copyright-free publications about Marin County.
