There is a suggested $5.00 fee for each visitor, but members are allowed free admission with their membership card. 
The main exhibit floor of the Boyd Gate House is easily wheelchair-accessible. There is a ramp available on the park side of the building. When you arrive, have someone advise the docent that you require access. You can also call or email a day in advance of your visit and we will anticipate your arrival.
Photography of the Boyd Gate House and non-flash photography of our exhibits for personal use is allowed and encouraged. Don’t forget to tag us @marinhistorymuseum in your social media posts!
Animals are not allowed in the Boyd Gate House with the exception of service dogs. Food and drinks are not allowed in the galleries or Research Library.
A restroom is available for visitors to the Boyd Gate House, although wheelchair access is only available from the gate on lower Mission Avenue.
The facilities are available for rental outside of Museum hours at the rate of $100 per hour, two hour minimum. Please contact info@marinhistory.org for information.

The Research Library is open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Contact research@marinhistory.org to set up an appointment, or submit a research request online.

For many years, stories of unusual sounds and flickering lights hinted at paranormal occurrences in the house. In 2012, a group of investigators spent the night and recorded their visit, capturing unexplained voices. You can view their findings on our YouTube channel.
